ADHD: Why Do They Procrastinate?!

Kids with ADHD can be what is known as “time blind”.  They literally do not “feel” time the way a neurotypical person does.  This may make them chronically late or behind.  They are also only motivated to do things that interest or challenge them, so unless there is a prize at the end that’s BETTER than playing on that video game, they will often wait until the LAST MINUTE to create a sense of urgency for themselves to complete a task that bores them.

This can lead to emergent situations for you because:

They suddenly need a poster board at 10pm,

or they might stay up until 3am finishing homework the night before it’s due,

or they’ll procrastinate their chores and then (OOPS) forget to do them entirely.

If this sounds like your house, you won’t want to miss this webinar!
